The Bay of Plenty Regional Council has prepared the DRAFT Bay of Plenty Regional Public Transport Plan 2026-2036 for public submissions.
Consultation begins at 9am on 6 July 2026 and closes at 4pm on 6 August 2026.
The Bay of Plenty Regional Public Transport Plan 2026-2036 (RPTP) is the key statutory document for public transport planning and investment in the region. The current plan has been in place since 2022 and requires updating to reflect changes in public transport over this period.
Any person or organisation can make a submission. The draft RPTP, the consultation document, and the submission form are available on the Council’s consultation website “Participate” under participate.boprc.govt.nz/rptp-2026. All documents will also be available in print form at your local Regional Council offices.
Public Hearings are currently scheduled to be held on the 19-21 August 2026.
